Wildlife Habitat Enhancement
Our wildlife relies more on our forests than we do. Our forests and fields provide homes to a wide array of wildlife species, some of whom are faced with shrinking or degraded habitats. We incorporate management strategies to protect and promote the features of the landscape that provide habitat to a variety of wildlife species. Our wildlife enhancement projects include early successional habitat (creation or maintenance), riparian area protection, vernal pool location and mapping, and the implementation of silvicultural practices geared towards specific species, such as those outlined by Audubon's Foresters for the Birds.
